Supporting Individuals & Families Living with Alzheimer's & Dementia

The Alzheimer’s Program at the Community Council of Greater Dallas provides education, caregiver support, and connections to community resources for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). Through compassionate guidance and community-based support, we help families navigate the challenges of dementia with dignity and care.

About the Alzheimer's Program

The Grants to Increase Local Dementia Support (GILDS) program is funded through House Bill 1, Rider 31, 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023. The program was created to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, strengthen caregiver support systems, and promote early detection and diagnosis through dementia resource specialists across Texas.

Using a public health approach, the Alzheimer’s Program helps connect caregivers and families to education, support services, and trusted community resources throughout North Texas.
