A Great Grandparents Love
Ms. Emel Butler is a 95-year-old great-grandparent who has singlehandedly taken care of her great-granddaughters for the past 17 years alone. The Dallas Area Agency on Aging has provided her aid for the past 16 years with services ranging from providing health maintenance supplies for incontinence and nutritional reasons to residential repairs dealing with handrails and grab bars for her safety.

It has been an incredible feat that, at her age, even with her mobility issues, she has been able to take care of her two great-granddaughters. She is always grateful for the help that the Dallas Area Agency has been able to provide to her. She lets everyone she meets know about the DAAA and praises the agency for the aid she has received over the years. Most recently, when her shower chair broke, and it was painful for her to shower, the DAAA was able to provide her with a new one, and she stated that it made her so happy.

Whilst she is battling her health issues related to aging, she is grateful for everyone who has helped her in the DAAA. The warmth that she has received from the agency has not been forgotten by either her or her great-granddaughters. She knows that the DAAA will be able to help her connect her to other agencies or individuals who are just as kind. She thanks every person who has helped and gives them her warmest regards.
