Dallas County and the broader North Texas region tell two stories. One story speaks of economic opportunity, a sparkling skyline and a city full of food and culture. The other tells of stark racial inequity, financial insecurity and uncertain answers to life’s most basic questions. We know the challenges. We cite statistics of community need. Information is not enough. Despite our wealth of data, vulnerable populations in Dallas continue to climb. Those with the biggest reach have the greatest responsibility to act. We must work in concert if we’re going to create long-term, lasting change. We can and must do better, together. For 79 years, the Community Council has partnered with community agencies, individuals and city stakeholders to help families move forward and leave poverty behind.

Our community needs you, and with us, you can make a difference for Dallas families.
